Welcome to the BitByBit help page! If you're new to the miniature world, you probably have a few questions. We’ve rounded up the ones we hear the most.
1. The Basics
What exactly is inside a BitByBit kit? Pretty much everything. You open the box, and you're good to go. Pre-cut wood, fabric, paper details, and instructions are all in there. If a model needs LED lights, we pack those too. Plus, we throw in a basic toolset so you don't have to go digging through your junk drawer.
Wait, do I need to buy glue or batteries? Yeah, unfortunately. Shipping rules are pretty strict about liquids and batteries, so we can't put them in the mail. Just grab some regular craft glue (or silicone liquid glue) and some batteries. Check your specific kit, but it usually needs AAA or small button cells.
How old do you need to be to build these? We say 10 and up. But honestly, younger kids love helping out. They just need an adult sitting with them for the tricky bits.
2. Building It
How long is this going to take me? Totally depends on the kit. A small one from the Rubik’s Series might take you 3 to 5 hours. It’s a fun afternoon project. But our big, detailed houses? Expect to spend 10 to 20 hours. Take your time with it. It’s supposed to be relaxing!
Oops, I broke or lost a piece. Now what? Don't stress, it happens to the best of us! These pieces are super tiny. If something snaps or rolls under the couch forever, just take a picture of the manual page showing what's missing. Email us at info@bitbybitkits.com. We'll rummage through our Texarkana workshop and try to get a spare part sent your way.
Do I have to paint anything? Nope. Everything comes pre-colored or has decorative paper you attach. But if you want to bust out your own markers and customize things, we totally encourage that.
3. Shipping Stuff
Where are you guys shipping from? Straight from our workshop. We pack everything up right here at 4318 Laurel St, Texarkana, Arkansas.
When will my stuff get here? We try to ship things out within a day or two. After it leaves our hands, standard shipping usually takes about 3 to 5 business days to get to your doorstep.
Do you do free shipping? Yes! Any order over $65 ships totally free. If it's under that amount, shipping is just a flat $4.99.
4. The Serious Stuff
Are these safe for little kids? Definitely not toddlers. There are way too many tiny choking hazards. Please keep the unbuilt pieces and the finished houses away from kids under 3 and curious pets.
What if I need to return it? Changed your mind? No problem. As long as the box is unopened and unused, you can return it within 30 days.
